Baccarat – Forget the Rules and Enjoy

If you have been searching for information on baccarat games then there is no doubt that you will have come across numerous articles detailing the complex rules that govern how the cards are dealt. Indeed these rules are very tedious and difficult to commit to memory, no matter how many times we read them.

They concern things like if the player receives a certain card value, which he does if his initial score is a certain amount, then, depending on the score of the dealer, the dealer may or may not receive an additional card. It is amazing that anyone was able to dream them up, and whoever did must have been very lucky or a highly skilled mathematician for they result in some very interesting odds.

The rules mean that a bet on the bank is the bet that is most likely to win, with the downside that bank wins must contribute 5% of that win to the casino; that is the casino edge or rake-off. Bets on the player are just a little less probable to win, but this is complemented by there being no levy on the winnings. Bothe bank and player wins pay out at even money. Hands which result in a draw, and a little over 9% of them do so, are paid out at 8 to 1.

Certainly baccarat is a very clever game with highly complex rules however these rules are completely irrelevant to the people playing the game. They don’t even need to know or understand them as the full deal is carried out by the dealer according to these rules and without consulting the players. Once he or she has played out the hand he simply announces the result and pays out the wins and collects the losing bets accordingly.

Thus baccarat is a game where you can forget the rules and enjoy the betting, which essentially is what it is all about.
